“I was interested in health information management since I knew I wanted to work in the healthcare setting, but clinical care wasn’t for me. I love learning how to handle patient data and working with files and EHRs (electronic health records). I feel like I am actually going to make a difference in the business side of the medical field.”

“The dance program at �鶹AV showed me there are a million opportunities for work in the field of dance outside of the realm of performance, including teaching, choreographing, arts administration, dance history, lighting, and costuming. �鶹AV showed me how to find these opportunities, network, and market myself as a working professional in the field of dance no matter which avenue I decide on.”

“Today, I serve on two nonprofit boards providing mentorship for youths and advocating on behalf of sexual and domestic violence assault victims in Washington, D.C. Currently, I am board president for Big Dreamz, Incorporated and a board member for The Safe Sisters Circle.”

“Having not had much formal dance training prior to college — I was more of a musical theatre dancer — the smaller, more concentrated classes at �鶹AV were beyond beneficial to me. Our teachers focused on clean/classic technique giving me a strong foundation for a career across styles.”
