Moriah C. Istre of Lafayette is the recipient of the 2008 Jefferson Caffery Award at �鶹AV for her paper entitled “Festivals Acadiens in Southwest Louisiana: A Cultural Expression.” The Caffery Award competition encourages �鶹AV students to conduct scholarly research utilizing primary source materials held in the special collections area of Dupré Library. The competition is open to both graduate and undergraduate students.
